Katie Rose Pipkin

Katie Rose Pipkin (b. 1990, Austin, Texas) is a curator and multidisciplinary artist native to Austin, Texas. Pipkin works in language, with code and on paper. Pipkin makes drawings, as well as computational artwork. She is known for her Twitterbots, as well as generative poetry and other software, including games. Pipkin has completed residencies at Joshua Tree Highland Houses and Pilot Balloon Church-House, as well as Caldera She has given talks and lectures at Indiecade, Game Developers Conference, Botsummit, and PechaKucha. Between 2011 and 2013, Pipkin ran Wardenclyffe Gallery, a multidisciplinary art space in Austin, Texas. In 2013, Pipkin was a part of exhibitions at Greyduck Gallery, The Texas Biennial, and Fusebox Festival. In November 2012, a Pipkin exhibition was on display as part of the East Austin Studio Tour. She also designed puppets and multimedia for a 2013 production of The Pillowman at the Dougherty Arts Center.
